Hmm... do you know of the core shadow and whatnot that is the traditional way of rendering a sphere? Could help with the balloon~
You seem to have proportions down quite well though~ I cant really say much more since Ive yet to watch Date A Live...

thats not a balloonnn.... thats her tail..... but the shadow hmmmm.....yeah i really cant draw the shadow =3=
