Currently Anime-Sharing uses a three-tiered uploader system:
1. Every member starts on the entry level tier. On this tier, people can post in the download sections, but all posts need to be approved by a moderator. This is ideal for new members and occasional uploaders, since it allows people to learn our rules bit by bit before being unleashed on an unsuspecting public, and who don't have contribute any unique contents.
2. The second tier is Uploader, it's very much like the first one, sans the moderation queue. All posts in the download section made by members of this tier show up immediately. Promotions to this level areautomatic and based upon our moderator team's appraisal of your skills and posting frequency. How to get this tier: Try to provide unique contents (self-purchased) and help member's requests at request sections. If you are required, from 1st to 5th every month, you need to make a report what you have bought and fulfilled member's requests in previous month in the Direct Staff Contact.
3. Finally we have the third, the Contributor tier. Here's where things start to get interesting:
Contributor (obviously) don't have their posts go through a moderation queue, but they also receive some special goodies liketheir threads show in a different color on the browse and search screen or having access to the uploader forum.
To reach this level, members have to go 'above and beyond the call', so to speak. It's not enough to simply upload away - participation in other parts of the forum as well as adhering to a high level of quality are as much required as is the ability to bring something new and unique to the forum.
Typically members will have to write an application (there'll be no hand-holding about what to write; try to impress us) in the Staff Application Forum detailing how their presence benefits and why they should be promoted, though we reserve the right to approach members on our own should someone really catch our eye.
Last, but not least, please don't be disheartened if your application gets turned down. Standards for being an uploader are quite high and subject to constant revision.
All Uploader class must have responsibility for Anime-Sharing.
