Copying this from my post in the torrent thread for those having the common text issue:

This is for Windows 7/8/8.1 users only:

Download the most recent version of Locale Emulator. Extract the contents to a folder of your choice, then run the LEInstaller.

After its installed, go back to the folder you extracted the program to and find the LERegistry xml file. Right click to the context menu, Properties, and in the General tab, mark this file as Read Only.

Now run the game through LE per usual (right click the .exe; in the context menu highlight Locale Emulator, then click Run in Japanese.) The game should run perfectly, without the need to independently change any Windows language settings.

The middle step is necessary because I found that for games like these, while running through LE once will properly display the text, once you close up the game and try to open it again from that point forward, you're back to getting gibberish. Marking the LERegistry as read only prevents some changes that seems to happen to the file upon launching a game which appears to be the cause of said issue.

Drag the game's main exe file to NTLEA.

it seems the antivirus is blocking it I had the same problem. deactivate the antivirus while downloading and Voila!!

That, or add it as an exception if it is Avast. It used to do that to me with some games from Maika.

Bitshare automatically converts all those characters and I have no control over it.

Did you drag the game's exe to NTLEA?

Also depends which ntlea are you using. If you're using the incorrect between x86 or x64, it will crash.

Followed the directions on Ntlea's main docs page. dragged the x64 files into the game dir, but all it does when I drag over the game exe, is freeze explorer... =/

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I want to ask--since you need AlphaROMdie to get around the DVD check, how do you run NTLEA to fix the messed up text?

I'm on Windows 8.1, and I need to switch to Japanese Unicode just to get NTLEA to work (without NTLEA, the program won't run, same for the game's sequel). Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Doh, I'm an idiot--you use the noDVD patch and run that through NTLEA, not AlphaRom. My apologies!
