I am specifically requesting the Renewal Package, which was the last version of the 18+ version of the game. The only active links on the site lead to Comic Party DCE, the all ages port of the Dreamcast version.

I actually tried to buy this from Amazon JP since they have new physical copies in stock, but they told me they don't need my dirty gaijin money when I tried to give it to them. (T_T)

You need to use fowarding services like Tenso, etc and many others. That's how it gets done these days, need to have a middlemen service or pay fowarding services.

Discovered that this version/re-relelease of the game hasn't got any changes from the first reléase, so can say that... There is nothing more changed than the outer box (packaging), as its title says >> Renewal Package (meaning they only made a new packaging for the game, not a complete renewal of the game, do not confuse with that.)

The main change is that it runs natively on XP, so there's a chance of getting it to run without Japanese Win 98 today. DCE runs on Win 7 with no problems so this will probably run as well. The original version was released for Win 95/98 and was notorious for not even running in Japanese XP.

In theory, yes. Everything I've ever downloaded that said Renewal ended up having the DCE images in the archive. Hopefully it really will be Renewal.

Sadly, that file host is absolutely terrible. I found out my download was corrupt, twice, after 5 hours per attempt. JDownloader is no help either, as it doesn't check the second checkbox properly and gets stuck in an infinite loop of waiting 10 minutes to try again. If it ends up downloading this time, and it really is Renewal, I will upload it to a decent file host. In the meantime, I'd appreciate anyone interested in the game try to download it and find out what's in the archive. Maybe someone else will have better luck downloading it than I have so far. Could download this one as well and... Not good.
As I expected, this time was the same, Comic Party DCE(everyone reuploads the same game everywhere), the reverse-ported edition without +18 scenes.
Also, there is no copy available of this one even on share (japan P2P) or WinNY.

EDIT: Also took my time to warn everyone and left a comment telling the uploader that this upload is not the correct game, being DCE edition again as expected...

Again, as far as I know, this Renewal thing is only for the package, the game was not altered or remade in any edition at all, just to be clear, they only re-made the packaging itself.

The Japanese Wikipedia page is quite clear about the original version not working in Windows XP or newer. That's a pretty big difference.

Perhaps this one will end up being Renewal, despite being labeled the original. If it runs, it's Renewal. It certainly wouldn't be the first time a Comic Party game was mislabeled on the internet. I'm stuck in an infinite loop of not being able to download for another 10 minutes until their server figures out I'm not downloading anything, so I can't even try to find out right now.

I can confirm that this is not the renewal package, but the first version that came out in the 1990s.

Also downloaded this one as well just to check, and was the 1st release, so for now no "renewal package" dump on the net has ever surfaced.

I do have a 98 real hardware PC for playing this kind of old stuff, as there are some games that require CD Audio Cable support for playing CD-DA mixed tracks while game is running.
Same with XP games, have another partition ready for it, and for testing dumps I do use VMs as well.

Does it even run without Japanese 98? I have an image for Japanese 98SE somewhere, but it won't install in VirtualBox or on real hardware. The installer crashes, the machine reboots and you get a no OS installed error. It goes on in an endless loop. T_T

As far as I remember, it does only work on Win98, I think I did try 'Compatibility mode' on XP and did not go well at all...
Try to get a pre-installed W98 SE VMware image or for VirtualPC, might be a better option if you do not have the mediums to install it from zero.
