Program to convert a DVD to a digital file

I just recently bought on of my favorite Anime's ever, Akira, in a Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack. Anyway, I was wondering if their is a program to convert a DVD to a digital file so I can watch the movie on my tablet, and phone. Thanks for the help

I tend to use mediacoder for transcoding things for other devices (lets me micro manage some things), and turns out they have a guide (using MC with another program for ripping the BD).
