I have tested it on 3 different PCs, and it yied the same result, nothing appear except on task manager.

Also everything is Japanese

You have to change your entire Windows interface into Japanese for this to work -- for example, we should not be seeing "Change date and time settings..." in English. This should be in Japanese.

Once you have that in Japanese, as well as all other usual things, it will work.

Everything is in Japan now

Start menu, right click menu, my computer, everything is in Japanese. Date and timezone also set in Tokyo, locale, keyboard input, all japan, number format also japan. It still not working,

The game appears on task manager, but I can't see any game screen started except this small box that I dont know what is this :(

That's what I've been wondering about this game for some time now. Lots of people seem to have downloaded it but some are having problems, including others in this thread and myself, and have no idea why. It's not a Japanese locale problem. I've had my computer set to Japanese locale for years. I tried setting every option in Region & Language to Japanese as was advised above. It didn't work.

It's odd to me that this game has such problems, because I have other similar ones from this developer that work perfectly fine, nor did I find any complaints of this nature about them.

I've tried everything I can think of to get the game to work correctly (but believe me, everything I can think of isn't much), but it won't work. I tried searching for a solution on the internet, but all I discovered is that it possibly is an error of the kirikiri engine (TVP(KIRIKIRI) Z core / Scripting Platform for Win32) that occasionally pops up. The site that mentioned that recommended ending the process and restarting, but that doesn't fix it.

At this point I'm simply hoping either a patched version of the game will be released or some kind soul will appear with information on how to fix the error, because I'm at a loss.

Will not work for home premium though there is a workaround

Tried using Vistalizator to change my OS language to Japanese, but it just gave me a Black Screen of Death. Wasn't too keen on trying again.

I tried setting up a virtual machine with Windows 7 32-bit Japanese version, too. The game started, but just with the tiny box as in zerefs' case.

Seems that they released an update on 25 March that may fix things up. Can anyone upload it?

Hmm, I think I have found the problem but I do not think there is an easy fix for this. After checking the save folder which is created in "\Documents\田辺組\おいしゃさんレイパー２" and reading the "krkr.console" carefully I saw that the problem is that 2 files necessary for running the game are missing. They are "draper2.cf" and "draper2.cfu". But like I said I do not think there is an easy fix for this other than getting the missing files somehow so if there is a user out there who happens to have those 2 files and the game works for him, please share those with us.

I *may* have just accidentally found a solution to your problem.

After seeing pervert64's reply, I checked \Documents\田辺組\おいしゃさんレイパー２ too and found these two lines in system.ksd.
"clientWidth" => 0,
"clientHeight" => 0,
In other words, I am playing on a 0x0 window, which looks just like the reason for the tiny box problem.

I messed around with some values and checked the sample CGs. It seems like the resolution of the game is supposed to be 1280x720 or so. Can you see if changing the values in system.ksd solves your problem?

I did manage to run the game -_- , it's an annoying procedure though. Aside from having your system locale in Japanese you ALSO need to set the Display Language to Japanese. Though its not that hard, you just have to log out for a couple of secs and log in again this time with Japanese as display language. Apparently, there is a program called Vistalizator which can help people who do not have an OS capable of having Japanese installed on them, here is the link for it: http://www.froggie.sk/en/index.html

For all the trouble at least the game is worth it.
