    Yes, I've read about it. Cisco, the manufacturer of the networking equipment pictured (look at the logo on the cardboard box), responded by complaining to Obama -- though in my view it's little more than a PR gesture. A "beacon" in this case is basically something like a transceiver, something that gathers data going through the equipment (e.g. a router or modem) and sends it back home (i.e. the NSA). It can also inform the spies when the equipment it infects is turned on or doing something specific so that they can initiate further action against the infected equipment (insert specific backdoors, etc). It's called a "beacon" because it acts like one -- giving off light and informing its owners (the spies) about what's inside.

    Drops are those horrible sounds which you hear in this house/dubstep mixes. In fact it's like the pitch after a slow progress to the drop. Listen to Skrillex, he overused it. I dislike iMac DJ's like him. Nothing can replace those old synthesizer sounds like Pink Floyd used in the Roger Waters era in the 70s - or Paul Oakenfold to produce extreme chilling sounds in the mid/end 90s.

    Progressive is like deep house in the house scene (Love that too). Melodic... yeah you can say that BUT nothing beats a nice (female) vocal with a low and convoying sound.

    Listen to that sound in the background (here, awesome found some minutes ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeBLXtt_oDY), this low attendant synthesizer sound which makes you want to fly onto the moon and watch the world spinning... It's super super effective for me when I work on some code or playing or learning... gives me the special chilling effect.

    Little secret tip: The podcast from Matt Darey (Nocturnal) has sometimes this special diamonds, trying now since a year to listen all of his podcasts. About the last 6 years I listened to some different podcasts like ASOT from Armin van Buuren or GDJB from Markus Schulz or Gabriel & Dresden... - they were good before they got too much fame and commercially. Only mainstream shit which you can hear in the charts in the different countries. Summer 2012 gave me the last shot from ASOT when they tried to put more house over trance and mixed it with Avicii or similar mainstream artists. Horrible, a punch in my soul.

    Not that I only listen to that chilling shit, I also prefer in hot summer days some house sounds from the era 97-98 to 2001-02 or the more actual Roger Shah's Magic Balerialic Island. Some nifty summer sounds he's using sometimes.

    Heard yes, but don't like them so much (they're more psy)...

    I prefer progressive because I'm loving music without these super modern drops. Maybe I like this because I grew up with the old tracks from Pink Floyd ("Dark side of the moon", "Animals" and my favourite Album "Wish you were here"). My brother heard them and he also listened to this 90's trance, especially things like Kirsty Hawkshaw - Outsiders or this remix from Paul van Dyk Humate - Love Stimulation

    The old tracks from Paul van Dyk were awesome or Greece 2000 or similar trance(with little progressive) is what I miss today. Once in a year a good evergreen is released, sadly no more

    In a way yes, but in a way also not. See it more as a guidance for others while I stay in the dark. How I prefer to keep it still.

    Who knows.. All I know is that I just like it alot. Moreso then sun at least. Maybe its just that it calms my mind.

    The mind is all but chaos as we try to keep it not. Yet because of the same chaos inside our mind we can create and come up with amazing things.
    As such, I prefer to have it a bit chaotic sometimes rather then not. Afterall, keeping it a bit unpredictable is fun.

    well.. i am kinda bored and fed up with about everything at the moment. dunno what to do, so might as well try out IT, since friends are already doing that and telling me that it's easy.

    Yes, hearing it, standing in it, looking at it. I always like it, expecially if I did have a good flower garden.
    Dreaming or making up things is not much different. It keeps one's mind free, thats what I beleive.

    nah, i am good. i already talked with a friend and kinda also with my brothers. but thanks anyways.

    the games i have on pc are best suited for mouse & keyboard, so i dont really have a problem with that~

    Yeh, darksiders is better with controller (if ots the hack n slash game that i am thinking of)
