I had a question regarding visual novels/eroges and I hope you do not mind if I ask you. I am wondering how I can tell if a VN has to be played on a Japanese-language system?
I have only played English-translated VN's so far, none of which has required changing my computers language. This makes sense, of course, but I have also seen what I presume to be fan-translated VN's that can be played on an English-language system. Does the translation itself make this possible or can some Japanese-language VN's be played on an English-language system without translations as well.
Basically, can I play certain Japanese-language VN's on my unaltered computer? If so, how do I know which ones can be played on my Western-language computer?
