    Nothing I tried worked for this game on Windows 10, but I got it to work on a Windows XP virtual machine using AlphaRom 2.1-3.1 (http://bl.canadia.info/patches/) on reg.exe. For New Dragon, my guess is that he had the original image mounted so the DVD-check was passed properly.

    I got the same error for the trial version, and moving the game folder to a different drive fixed it. I have a different problem though. The CGs are pixelated, most noticeably on the CG selection screen but everywhere else as well. Anyone else run into this issue or know how to fix it?

    If anyone's trying to play this on Windows 10, you can use VMware (http://www.vmware.com/products/player/playerpro-evaluation.html) and an XP disc or image to make an XP virtual machine. VirtualBox also works but some of the in-game images are distorted, likely due to a worse DirectX...
