I had the same issue with mine. I changed my d3d9.dll file in my Windows folder for a illusion game.
I just reverted the change to the old d3d9.dll and it worked. Maybe it's the same for you?
I know this is kinda odd asking this so late, but where could I find a good download link or where do I ask people to seed the old ones? Since nobody seeds them anymore lol
