Unfortunately I don't know yet as I just recently finished the first episode and am starting to read the second episode. Going by the guide in Steam, moving to a new episode may not be possible if some of the endings aren't open.

I completed the first two chapter endings.
There's also been feedback from players in the steam comments section about this bug and that some people were able to open the DDD chapter without completing all the endings.
It seems a new version was posted to fix it ......
