Description
Total Eclipse is set in the same world as Alternative, at Alaska's Yukon base, test site 18, where first-class staff from all over the world regardless of country gather to work on new Tactical Surface Fighters.

Honest Review of MLATE.
"From the guys that brought you the best VN ever...Comes another VN that spawned more merchandise and advertisements than the original ever did. Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. Action! Romance! Plot! Character development! Skin-tight spandex armor that puts more emphasis on how it looks on girls than how it looks on guys (Because apparently we all rather watch perky nipples of girls' beewbs rather than the bulge & balls of dudes even though most guys in that world would have wood watching women on such outfits)!
Technology is vital in the struggle against the BETA and Japan is falling behind from other world powers. So with the help of capitalism and the the USofA ('Murica Fuck Yeah!) they gather a team of developers and pilots to create the next generation of machinery that will allow the empire of Japan to keep up with the competition and kick alien ass because even in an apocalyptic world, you still totally wanna have the sweetest weapons of mass destruction!
Follow Yuuya Bridges aka as Top Gun as he does nothing resembling what made Top Gun famous like demonstrate the coolness of flying planes, riding motorcycles or doing beach volleyball shirtless with other dudes. Instead watching him barely show any degree of romantic interest to the abnormally attractive women in the novel as they are 1 step away from flat out jumping on his arms (I have not seen this degree of density since my chemistry class) and watching him struggle with his personal identity issues due to his mixed race heritage even though everyone in that world including him speaks Japanese (not even Star Trek had an universal language). But its alright as he totally makes up for it by giving everyone an original and cool nickname like like when he calls Valerio Macaroni because he is Italian...Really dude, he calls you Top Gun and that's your best come back?
Also follow Yui Takamura. Badass woman that lost her innocence in the most bloody way possible which is by watching all her school buddies been gruesomely eaten, crushed and skinned by nightmare fuel abominations with human expressions...But still knows how to be all cutesy and girly garnering the love and fondness of the fans (Who's a cutey girl, you are :redface:) And you can't have a love triangle in anime if it doesn't have a second girl (2 guys, 1 girl? Hehehe go back to cable drama and real life weirdo). Introducing Cryska Barchenowa. Cold as ice, Russian badass, relentless alien murder machine and...overprotective and morally weak confused woman? Second half of the Scarlet Witches and probably the only half you will give a damn since Inia is not nearly as interesting or developed as a character plus you know...that. Inia is another main character, but since I don't care and probably you don't either here is her deal: Murderous psycho in combat. Cutesy and overly childish outside of it to the point that her naiveness puts people around her in so much trouble that you wish someone would just slap her stupid face and kick her stupid bear in the mouth of a tank class BETA.
Watch one of the most organic universes ever constructed in media be filled with extremely realistic issues that reflect in our society as a whole like the domination of the good ol' USofA in the world ('Murica! Fuck Yeah!), cultural and racist stereotypes and BEAWBS! In a world ravaged by the most brutal alien race ever since...Alien, the only solution is giant robots that would make the square-cube law implode. But f@*k that! It's giant f%cking robots killing fu%$king aliens with cool ass katanas and dope ass rail guns! Suck on that Galileo!
So put all those awesome things in a timeline where Japan never surrender in WWII, the Cold War never ended, and half of the world is inhospitable and what you get is the best visual novel setting ever created. And what better way to pad all that awesome stuff than with all the tropes you know and love from science-fiction, anime and manga like science mumbo-jumbo that barely makes sense; comedy shoved in the midst of action that creates immense shifts in tone; simple problems dragged out to be huge for the sake of character development and time stretching but most of all...F-A-N S-E-R-V-I-C-E.
Visit again the Alternative universe that you fell in love with by reading a story that does not have the same level of urgency, importance and epicness as Muv Luv Alternative did. So put on your seat belts since this adventure is high octane, where the only break you are going to take is when you start to wonder just when the hell Yuuya will just f%$king get with someone already! Come on dude! It's Muv Luv as in "Save in the name of true love?" Get with the memo already and starting loving goddammit!
Geez....Ahem, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse...for PC. Because the best way to make you buy this game is to bait-and-switch you into thinking this version will have Yuuya porking someone but instead it gives you Yui's backstory which you already knew but with explosions and gore!"
Hey Guys! Thanks for reading this small piece of writing I did. As you can see I have a huge crush for this magnificent universe that Age created as MLA is my favorite VN of all time. And although TE wasn't nearly as excellent as MLA, it was still a fun and enjoyable ride!

all age version ? does this mean they removed all violence and the like ? (the console version is rated 16+ on the vn database)
