DESCRIPTION
Released on the 65th anniversary of Emperor Hirohito's announcement of surrender to the Allies in the Gyokuon-hōsō, or the "Jewel Voice Broadcast", TAO drops his first album Lost Identity. TAO criticizes the Japanese government of past actions in history, causing the Japanese "lost identity", and TAO also criticizes their current responsibilities of Tokyo's rapid and unwanted urbanisation, life in the "ghettos" of Roppongi, Tokyo, the landmark of Tokyo's urbanisation after the war, as now the streets of Roppongi are plunged into darkness and seen as urban canyons because of the skyscrapers and highrises that are constantly being erected all in the name of business, money and greed. Being the first center of attention and the ringing bell for the underground label Ill East Records, this album features the backing tracks produced by the Ill East Records DJs, DJ Kota, Daddy Veda (Rebel Beatz) and Audace, who have gained familiarity through their performances in Ill East Records' live venue Shimokitazawa Ghetto. Akuryo, Ill East Records' MC who has now gained some popularity through No Nukes, More Hearts' NO NUKES! ALL ST☆R DEMO rallies also makes an appeareance in both TAO's and Ill East Records' debut album: Lost Identity.
