I'm also using ITH 3.0 with 06.02.2014 engine and my OS is Win7 Ultimate 32-bit and it hooks the text just fine. My issue is with Fraps not working with the game, but that doesn't matter now. I'm more curious as to what the Append disk contains. Can someone tell me?

One extra scene for each heroine. You even have access to those before starting the game, just go in the view scenes section, there should a "Parallel World" label, click and you'll find a section with 4 scenes unlocked and 4 locked. The unlocked ones I assume are from the append, the locked ones will be unlocked one by one while you get the endings for the various routes.

Ugh, the VN looks too creepy to me based on the vndb tags. And based on the CGs I've seen, its genre shift shifts into a direction I'm sure to avoid.
Oh yeah, and based on the walkthrough it has an enforced playin order, btw.

It's a sad game by default, it becomes tragic in the later stages. If you play it, you're in for some grief. There are some visuals with blood, but nothing extreme. The routes are not very long so it doesn't take much to finish them. The ero-scene are well done imho, but given the general context of the story they lose some impact.

Conclusion: avoid if you don't like sad environments or tragic developments.

I'm not particularly sure as to how the word snuff is used in these cases, but I don't think there is any. There are certainly quite a few bloody scenes, but there is no eros there. Just plain blood and death. If you're fine reading something with quite a few tragic scenes, then you can give it a try at the very least. There are some few fight scenes that can get you excited too. However, I think the overall mood is gloomy and dark. Nothing too dark, but a bit tragic.

By the way, I have only finished three routes so far with some skipping of scenes because I'm more interested in the ending than the development. Not to say that I just skipped till the conclusion. I still read enough content to grasp the personalities of the characters and the situation of things.

So far, I think it's not an epic game, but it's a fairly decent one considering the recent releases.

Perfect! I will play it then. It's because dudes where saying at erogamescape that the "snuff got sometimes in the way" (But some reviewers at Erogamscape are for the lack of a better word, mental). For me snuff in an eroge is stuff like the "looking-glass insects" chapter of Subahibi. If this is all there is in terms of "dark" in the game then its alright. Thanks for your opinion.

In the normal routes, pretty much everybody die including supporting characters (some die in a route, some in another route, no one is immune). The normal routes also have an epilogue after the ending theme, in which the protagonist also dies attempting to rescue his friends. After having cleared the 3 normal routes, you get access to the true ending route. There you still have pretty much everyone dying, but this time the main character succeeds in his attempt of saving his fellows. This way you get a reset with all characters alive like at the beginning of the story and ... medetashi medetashi.
