Anyone else getting issues with sound with this game?

background music is fine but all dialogue and sound effects are mute. Oddly, volume mixer is picking up the sound (green meter going up/down) but the sound is not outputting to my speakers

Fixed it.
More infuriating oddities that comes using USB headsets.
