Summary:
Caught up in the middle of a recession with no relief in sight, the only news written about in newspapers are depressing articles about lay offs and bankruptcies. Now the publishing company Ayako has been working for goes bankrupt. She has become a victim of the recession left destitute. On top of that, she has been disowned by her family for breaking her promise to return home after graduating from her vocational college by accepting employment in the city. "If I were to beg for forgiveness, it's not like I couldn't go back to the country, but I have more pride than that. I just can't find any work..."
