This is a nice piece of business. It combines all of the runs-the-fuck-out-anythingness of Windows Server 2008 R2 with all of the pretty visual enhancements of Windows 7. This is the absolute best OS to have for eroge. Once set to Japanese locale I've never had a problem running any new, old, Japanese, you name it game on this. More stable than 7, added security features and it even runs a lot of 90s-2007 games that require DosBox or XP Mode in 7 like it's no big deal. It gets my highest recommendation.
AFAIK there is no way to upgrade from a client OS (i.e. XP, 7, 8, etc.) so if this is your first time using a server OS as your main OS you'll have to back up your stuff and start from scratch. All Windows 7 drivers work with no issue for your video card, sound card, etc. The biggest issue people have is actually installing it.
The disc contains all versions of Windows Server. I recommend Enterprise or Datacenter for best performance.
The creators recommend you install from a USB drive. Many DVD drives will refuse to read the 2008 R2 disc and give you an error while installing no matter what you do. If this happens for you or you can't boot from a USB key the workaround is to find Server 2003 R2 (available on public trackers), install that, install a version of Daemon Tools for Win XP, mount the image and upgrade from Server 2003.
I don't expect a lot of people to be into this, but for the dedicated IT/computer nerd, it's the shit and a half. Torrents and links from the official site are currently dead, so this is the only place on the net to get it.
