The Boruto -Naruto the Movie- anime film earned a cumulative total of 680,134,700 yen (around US$5.46 million) in its first three days, selling a total of 516,146 tickets at 268 screens. This is the highest box office in the first three days for any Naruto movie. The film earned 270,488,500 yen (around US$2.17 million) in its opening night on Friday, and had earned a cumulative total of 409,646,200 yen (around US$3.29 million) by its second day.
The film is outpacing the preceding film in the franchise, December 2014's The Last -Naruto the Movie-, by 115.1% as of Sunday. The Last -Naruto the Movie- eventually grossed a total of 2 billion yen (US$16 million).
