DokiDoki - Little Landlady problem

People here have been amazing and found solutions for problems I've had before (such as running majikoi, Karin to Asobo etc) so I decided to try to ask here. I hope someone knows what's causing this.

Anyway, on to the point. Found this quite some time ago and it was surprisingly good and worked like a charm. However, I haven't played it for about a month or two and now when I decided to start it up again it doesn't work. It works up to the point where the H is going to start but after that all I get is a black screen but NEXT, home etc still shows at the bottom. At this point it locks up and stops working and I get a message saying "dokidoki*insertjapaneselettershere*.exe has stopped working". I've tried running it in different compatability modes and I even tried redownloading it again (thought having a new fresh folder might have worked for it) but to no avail . I have no idea why or how this is happening and it's quite baffling since it worked fine not THAT long ago.

Is your locale set to japan?
and font set to japanese?

i had the same problem as you and resolved it (you just need to temporarily disable your codecs) here you go:
Close the game if ever it is open. Find your CCCP folder (or Klitecodec, or whatever your codec folder is), which should by default be in your Program Files folder. If you're using x86 or 64-bit, then it should be in Program Files (x86). Temporarily move it out of the Program Files folder, like the Desktop, and for extra insurance, rename it to anything, like "glak". Rerun the game, and no more black screen and "Not responding". When you're done with the game, close it, and just rename the CCCP folder you rename back to the original name and put it back in the original location. If ever you didn't do any other tasks, you can just do Ctrl Z.
