Question Done

You can just change your username under account details.
Then request google to update the links in their cache and you´re done.

When you delete your account, all of your account information is erased from our database: this includes your username, your email address, and anything we had. Your thread/post, while still being visible to the public, will be associated with Deleted Account [String], the string would be something random.

I was just explaining how account deletion works. I never say you should delete your account.

If you wish to disconnect your username from any list it is currently associated with, the solution is simple: change your account name to a random alternative.

It is not necessary to delete anything.

While I understand your concerns, please note that even if we delete the thread, Google will display your old username until its cache is updated. This is beyond our control. It's moot and unproductive.

Currently, on our forum, the thread starter reflects your new username, not the old one. Whatever you were aiming to accomplish on this forum has been completed: The separation of your old username from the said thread.

You should address this issue with Google directly, as they control the search results. Google is the only platform still displaying your old username.

Needless to say: even if you delete the account, Google will still display your old username until its cache is updated
I hope this is clear enough.
