Drawing Tablet question

I was wondering if anyone here who uses a drawing tablet can give me a tip on how to draw with a tablet that dosent display the image on it.
I mean I had a tablet before for my birthday when I was little but it turned out too little to draw with, and I recall having trouble drawing like I draw on paper, cause I allways had to watch the PC screen to see the image while drawing... its kinda hard to put in words but lets jest say when I draw with a tablet and I am fourced to look at the screen its the same as drawing on the paper without looking on it you know what I mean?
I jest need an advice on this one, because I want to start making my lineart smoother and draw some landscapes too, so can anyone help me and give me some advice with this one?


P.S: yea up until now I was drawing with layers and making some lineart with the line tool but I want to gear up a little you know what I mean?

Just practice more, and you'll get accustomed with it. maybe start with drawing circle or basic shapes for practice

Are you Linking the tablet to the PC to draw via that?
Also depending on how sensitive the tracking of the pen is makes a huge differance and the distance it can detect the movements.
Also what program are you working with if ya dont mind?

I looked into different programs and SAI Paint Tool is pretty good to mess around on as well.

using a tablet will take time to adjust to getting use to it over time so i wouldnt worry to much.

Just practice with hand-eye coordination. Similar to how you move the cursor wherever you wish with a mouse, you just need to practice with it. I suggest doing this until you have enough money to buy a more advanced tablet, such as the ones that act as a monitor/drawing tablet.

What I use on my friend's tablet is open up Adobe Flash Pro and make an animation. If I do not do that, I use Paint Tool SAI and doodle on it. It takes a while to get used to, but you will eventually.
