Eiyuu Senki vs Eiyuu Senki Gold

I've been playing Eiyuu Senki for a few hours and it is fantastic. Now I've learned that I'm playing the inferior version of the game and that they just released a vastly better version of the game (Eiyuu Senki Gold) with a crap ton of better content. I don't really want to start over but I'd rather have the full experience rather than continue playing the old version.

The problem is, Gold isn't fully translated to English yet. Do you guys think that it will ever be fully translated anytime soon? Or is this unlikely and I should just be satisfied that I can continue to play the fully translated English version of the original game?

Could be if the translated Eiyuu senki suddenly has good sales.
I just stick to a translator program.

GOLD is a completely different game. While you are still taking over the world and starting in Japan, there is a different villain, your main/original ally in Japan is different, characters behave differently in battle, there are different quests, etc. etc. etc. I don't know where this misconception of it being an "upgrade" comes from - it's the sequel.

Finish the original before you play GOLD. It will make more sense that way. There is a patch to put GOLD's interface into English, and if you speak a moderate amount of Japanese that's enough to get the new story without reading any kanji.
