File apparently broken (or missing from game)

So the game is Yamizome Revenger, and I've downloaded it as soon as the torrent came out.

I recently find it when I'm spring-cleaning my computer, so what the heck, I open it up to enjoy it. It's a nicely crafted story (for a porn game), and it had me hooked. Actually made me save a few times when the narrative got to me a little.

So I'm around 30 minutes in, when the first battle/gameplay, or perhaps steamy scene, is about to begin.

Boom.

The game tells me these files got errors. Missing or broken, I don't know.

After which the game just shuts down entirely.

I've tried downloading another copy from a different source and reinstalling it, but the problem persists.

Can somebody please tell me what's going on, and what to do about it? This is frustrating to a maddening degree.

I totally understand that moment when you finally get a chance to pull your pants down and bam! Ah well, that's a cockblocker right there.

Though, there was an update 1.01, did you apply that?

From the changelog:

Which means it fixes what you describe above.

No...or rather, I don't know.

The new version I tried was a MEGA download from craneanime.com; I don't know if the patch was applied there. It was ~3.11 GBs, if that helps.

There's a 3.43 GiB file torrent on this site I'm currently trying to get, but last time I tried it (yesterday) it turned into an 18-day ETA, so I gave up.

I scrolled down a little and discovered patches all the way up to 1.05

However, my Japanese (what little I scrounged from anime and eroges) does not tell me enough.

Is there anything special about those two?
