Headphone Jack Not Working!! Default Sound Device!
The laptop I use, Thinkpad T410 with Windows 7, has taken quite a few hits in the time I've had it, up until only last week, the headphone/earphone jack was working fine, but then I accidentally dropped the laptop on its right side where the jack was and I haven't been able to hear any sound when plugging in earphones in.
But I don't think that's the problem, because when I went to Sound and to Playback and tested the "Ready" status, the confirmation sound worked.
EDIT: when I went to Sound again and went to Playback, I right-clicked the "Headphones" device and then Set it as Default Device, the sound worked again! But now I have to manualyl switch back and forth between Setting the Default Device of the laptop speakers & the headphones because if I don't the sound only plays for one device.
How do I fix this problem?? D: Please help
I need to somehow set both Laptop Speakers AND Headphone devices as default devices or else I won't get the sound in both devices??!
