Like said: Visit some airport/train-websites about that, and make a plan or whatever - Actually this should the logical way be, if you your travel planning wanna.

I'm pretty sure there is definitely transport from airport to some where in the city centre, its probably an international standard...From my experience, most airport sell some sort of ticket either via bus or train to at least one of the nearest big cities where you can get to where you want to go, specifically you might want to check with their official website for more details.

Do you ask about "Osaka International Airport"? This airport is in Itami, Osaka pref.
On the other hand, there is the other International airport in Kinki area, that is, in Senshu/Sennan, Osaka pref. This is "Kansai International Airport" alias KIX.
:: note: The international airport in Itami is also called "Itami (International) Airport".
:: note: The Kansai international airport in the artificial island in the Osaka bay. This is also International airport in Osaka. This airport is larger than Itami airport.

Most of international flights arrive at Kansai Airport. Probably you will arrive at Kansai Airport. When You go from Kansai Airport to Kyoto, a bus or limited express "Haruka" is easy. (transfer is not necessary)
