How do people Download Files From IRC bots?

Hi guys, been awhile, hime here-I'm curios about this method of downloading anime & manga from IRC bots(>_<;;) and I want to try it out but I can't seem for the life of me to understand(and get it to work) all the tutorials I find on google out there. So I'm asking for a Anime-sharing(because I know the people here are nice) savior to help me out with a tutorials for newbies plz? Thank you. :)

2. Find out packlist (usually it will be on their website, but sometimes it's the first pack on the bot).
3. Type

   /msg botname xdcc send #packnumber

4. Rinse and repeat for every file.

I see. Don't know about it coz I seldom visit our IRC.
It tend to use up the time I need to spam check the forum.
