How can I extract the a visual novel's script file text (Japanese) onto a text document? I want to extract it so I can use it for translation purposes but when I try opening the pak with notepad or Microsoft Word, all I get is mojibake D:

Depending on which engine they use, you have to use the right tool. Give me vndb link of the game you want to extract, i'll take a look.

Thanks alot again! But a few hours ago I actually just found a solution from a out-of-forum friend ^^' thanks anyway, always appreciated, in any case I'll put my solution here:
1.Went to:
http://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/4887-data-extraction-thread/
2. Ctrl+F for keyword pak
3. Downloaded the appropriate "kogado_pak_amlist" zip file (Different game companies will have different extractors I'm assuming(?)
4. extracted the zip file in its own folder with a copy of the Script.pak in the folder.
5. Execute as according to the instructions (I pressed PakDecomp.exe) and the script is thus extracted!
6. Now I have my scripts, and not in Mojibake, thankgoodness ^^'

Thanks anyway people, I hope this post will be useful to anyone who needs it
