Synopsis: The "slapstick drama" begins with Seiya Kanie, a high school boy who is invited on a date in an amusement park by a mysterious beautiful transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Ratifa, a "real" princess and the park's manager, and is asked to be the acting manager of this "disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs."

Shoji Gatoh's (best known for the creation of the Full Metal Panic! series that included light novels, manga and anime) light novel Amagi Brilliant Park with illustrations by Yuka Nakajima is getting an anime adaptation.

KyoAni is one of my favorite anime studios. will be very fun to see how they handle this story. And of course the author is wonderful too, FMP is an all time classic of greatness. Thanks for the info.

I finished reading volume 1 of the light novel a few months back quite an easy read for those who want something simple.
Its not shit but it ain't great either, although it does bring a few funny moments that will make you chuckle. However for those who have either read or watched the series Full Metal Panic the only comparisons that can be said the author has used is Fumoffu i.e. the amusement park costume returns once again. Humor can be considered the strong point of this light novel.

I loved that outfit, what a lot of laughs it gave us...and really lightened that series which was a bit heavy at times. I still hope we get to see it finished..and there have been rumors that there are plans. Thanks for your comments on the Light Novel. At least FMP story is finished in the Light Novels, i have them in digital form i should upload them here if people are interested. Anyway back to the topic, i do think they will do well with this series, and I think they enjoy a challenge, their last two main series have been pretty similar in setting.
