I just wonder what people do when they look for stuff. I mean, it almost seems like some of the ASL music is downloaded simply because it has that tag, rather than the person actually looking for it. :f
I know I'll usually get stuff for one reason or another. (publisher, name association, pretty artwork, etc.)
I've never downloaded something simply because it came from certain ppl x_x

So how do you decide what to download? What do you do if it took forever to find? Do you ever forget about what you couldn't find before?

Hmm i can usually find it even if its hidden in some dark abandoned corner... the ones i cant... ill go check some other time and hope its there then... I usually download because of the songs~ The artwork can probably be found elsewhere~

I usually try to find a video of it somewhere on the internet and check to see if it is worth the download. If it is a Visual Novel, I check VNDB.

What do you do if it took forever to find?

I leave it be until it becomes popular enough to get a good download.

Do you ever forget about what you couldn't find before?

Not at all. I bookmark almost everything that I encounter (and like) on the internet. I may have deleted some of them a day after or so, but I still have bookmarks of them.

I usually look up info about it before downloading to see if it's actually worth it.
But there are stuff (namely anime subs) that I download solely based on the subgroup

2. What do you do if it took forever to find?
dat moment of bliss when you finally find it :3
If I can't find it, I bookmark the site or whatever has the info about it on and check again later. Until I find it.

3. Do you ever forget about what you couldn't find before?
Not really. As I said, I make bookmarks out of them. But depending on how improtant it is to me..I might forget it and remeber it at a much later time :x

Just a question of time until someone leaks the first premium account or premium script for this ... I hope. Maybe it's also featured in the jDownloader Premium Database soon, who knows :D

Mostly I search around the simply because of the interest on a topic or I know exactly what I'm looking for (mostly games). Music genres are a case for the interest, there I'm mostly looking for albums on a certain genre, and everytime I find a good album I look up on the web for other albums of this band. If I like the other albums as well, then I remember the group really long and look up on their website for new stuff (like Exit Tunes/Trance) or through social media-pages (like Facebook). And sometimes I look up on the download portals just out of curiosity if there's something new, and if something raises my attention I read the description, and then I'll download it if it's interesting. Animes are most likely the same as music, I just search for certain genres (mostly comedy) on a database and then I'll download the interesting ones.
Ok, I think I miss many new things on this way, but hey, it's my own fault, and I hardly can't find the time to hear/watch/play everything I download :D
