We bought the DL version, it didn't came with any special protection, so we didn't really check the package version.

What kind of error does it show? No one on our forum reported problem.
Using the trial files typically works for most games, but we do have proper, working version of the game to make patch as required.

I just tested, and the game worked straight away.
I suspect the message you received was that it couldn't read the config file, so you either did not install the game, or the install directory is Japanese, and you are not using Japanese locale/region

I can't view the attachment but I know that if you change your system region and time/date to Japanese, then reinstall the game, it should work. As soon as I changed one of them back to my native region the game no longer would launch, so you need to do that if you want to play, and need to keep it like that until you're finished.

if you can't seem to open the game, make sure you start the game under administrator that is if you use to default install location.
