Did anyone actually manage to get this to work ??? I got the game, install fine, but when it ran a window pop up saying something about japan only etc....

I got the region patch here, copied over the original .... then it won't even run at all. No error message, just nothing, not even the process is running. I have japanese locale and never had any problems with other eroges including past catwalknero ones.

EDIT: finally fixed it after tinkering a bit.
I used a very old alpha rom cracker that target siglus engine and cracked the exe (original exe not the regional which does not work). Everything worked fine after, no need to mount the iso while playing. Also disable firewall/don't install in programs folder, these shouldn't matter but it can complicate things.

I used the exact crack that I posted myself and the game ran fine.
Which is generated using the exact same tool you used.
Not sure why you had a problem, may be you didn't extract the dll that came with it.

Isn't it easier to change Winodws' time zone to Japan(UMT+9) before opening the game?
However, I don't know if this works for everyone as by w7u is already Japanese.
