SUMMARY

Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he's sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc. But his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries hired to retrieve the disc. Rock (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc Revy as she thinks he's worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc that was stolen has a terrible secret that's unknown to Rock, which causes massive confusion and chaos for both him and his kidnappers.

OZC has released a 1080p version.
I can not confirm if OZC encode is the best, but I can confirm it is the most common one in the internet.
and from what I can tell the video and audio are very good ( at least to me )
to confirm things more, Bakabt, the torrent site which only has the best version of any anime, has OZC encode listed.

Here is the chronological release dates for Black Lagoon series.

Season 1 - Black Lagoon - 12 episodes
Season 2 - Black Lagoon The Second Barrage - 12 episodes
OVA - Black Lagoon Roberta's Blood Trail - 5 episodes

so yes, watch Season 1 first, than Season 2 than the OVA.

And BBT has not always the ultimate version of an anime (especially for less popular anime since only a few (or one) versions are offered for those and small groups almost never get any spotlight), but it's a good indicator and works well for everything popular.

the specials are very comedic and very funny ... in other words ... Black Lagoon specials making fun of the Black Lagoon episodes!
