Should the spam section change?

What I've suggested is having two sections for the spam section. "Just for fun" and "random."

JFF is what it sounds like~ for people that are looking to have fun, learn about each other, and like to express themselves. It would be things like (What did you do this morning? What anime do you like better? Share a random thought, what are you listening to?)

Random is where the topic is either random (such as LPW), or maybe personal or one-time things. (ex: holiday/birthday, topic about a person, it's hard to say XD)


By splitting the sections, I'm hoping that it'll get more people interested with learning or sharing about each other. The JFF would be more optimistic, or something to do like the forum games. :3
I'm especially interested in the quiz-type of threads, and want to see more people also interested in them too.

soo if you're new or a guest, it still matters to me if you have something to add~ Just agreeing or not would be fine too.

I can't see the difference between JFF and random... for me, and maybe sam, spam is spam. you can label a can of spam "Jack" or "Cornelius" but its still spam, separating the threads would be bothersome and pointless since there are no rules(except for the primary forum rules)

think of Just for fun as ongoing, light-hearted, and something to do~
(what are you listening to? mood of the day, favorit music, etc?)

random is whatever does not fit into the fun category. (ex: talk about who you met today, question or something you did, a breakup, unclear topics, things that have more thinking)
these threads typically die quicker since they focus on one person mostly.

From looking through the pages, there's about 3/4 that might fit into JFF.

Lots of good JFF threads get buried and forgotten about, and people tend to not care enough about them to find them. If you brought one up, it would definitely be active again.

I just find it annoying to have serious threads mixed in here x-x they don't count as debate, even though they're serious.

Hmm alls the same for meh cuz i mostly just use the latest posts anyway so it doesnt matter how you cut up the sections... If i want other threads i search in settings where i already have most of the spam thread sitting around so theres only rare instances where i search around for new threads i havent seen yet...

It has nothing to do with being lazy, people simply disagree with you. I think majority prefers the Spam section to remain as it is, either way it's not going to change. At least not in the near future.

I don't see how splitting up the spam section will drag in more girls. From my understanding we have quite a few of them, but it's not like it matters online. You talk to people you find interesting, gender is usually something you find out later, but eh, again, it's the internet.

I dont get how it would have brought more girls here... The threads are the exact same... Youre pretty much just expanding the definition of the games thread to include anything "fun" and thats quite vague comparatively... A serious discussion can be fun too so where would that go? Too much room for overlap could make the divide pointless...
