[Solved] IMPORTANT: Feedback for a new master/nested subforum for otome/bl voice, doujin manga and other miscellaneous stuff

Hello otome and bl lovers alike!, I am a new mod for this forum ever since a few days ago : ),

I've seen how much you guys love to use the current forum and wish to keep it that way in the future as well ( including few active friends of mine in the community), this change will not affect the current main forum in anyway necessary rest assured!

-Only the name will change to Otome Games, Artbooks and CDs nothing else! (yeah am not very much a talker like KK or MBK as i mostly stick to dms instead of public spaces like this to talk to you guys, please treat me kindly if I make some mistakes with this! and if you have any questions feel free to write it down below this post, I will answer them as much as I can!)

-I have spoken to checkmate (admin) of the forum regarding adding a master subforum for you guys who post otome/bl voice, doujin manga and other miscellaneous stuff who feel they should post elsewhere on the forum keeping the main forum's game related only legacy and this also includes people who post regularly on the Otome/BL CD megathread, here is an example they sent me of how they can make it look like, if you guys are okay with this change it can be finalized
(This is the only change that will occur)

PS: I have spoken with Miraiki who made the request megathread for voice and manages the megathread itself if you have anything to add please tell me here or dms anywhere you feel comfortable dear!

If there is any other people here who doesn't feel comfortable saying stuff in post, can PM me instead

I have spoke to checkmate (admin) once again regarding the nested forum that was first proposed by miraiki and agreed to by the active members, I will let you guys choose which option you'd be more comfortable with

Thanks for everything Vice. I already voted for option 2.

Right now we have otome games and artbooks so creating a subforum for voice works and doujinshi within otome games&artbooks section would just make everything look messy and more difficult for both downloaders and uploaders to navigate.
Option 2 would also be more visible for uploaders and downloaders.

is there really a need to make it red tho? it's written at least three times (prefixe, in the thread title and in the title inside the thread), next step would be to make it shiny? blue is fine imo

Some people said option 3 looks messy but in my opinion it looks more compact in a good way. With that sub forum, this forum would have most of the otome related stuff in one same place (but without an extreme renovation). With option 2, for people who want both the game/artbook content from here and the more misc too, they would have to regularly search through 2 different forums more or less. I just feel like its more comfortable to have it on a similar place where most people are already used to.

However that's just what i think

In that case, why not make Otome and BL separate too, while you're at it? Some (like me) enjoys the boy's stuff and otome games, but not necessarily BL. Or is the market not big enough for the two to have their own sections?

Vote for option 3, BTW. One stop to solve all your problems are the way to go. Managing one site is difficult as it is, let alone two. Do you have the resources and manpower to keep track of multiple sites?

I feel a more otome and bl prefix would be more suited if you want division that badly, but please mentally note that majority of the people who love bl are also women/fudanshis with similar interests too who has been using the forum just like us and also aren't a fan of regular porn content and are using elsewhere to post, I want to speak for both communities who wanted this for game content and misc and option 2 has been finalized and for the community who loves both content I want to cater to them as well, its not easy please let us be nice to our preferences without over dividing too much, I love both content and you guys on the forum equally (even if I had personal falling out with some people at times), this community does have a common preference tidiness and no regular porn content to see when browsing the forum or bookmarking the section its also easy for mods here to manage things please don't over work us who made this section possible in the first place

Option 3 was my suggestion, option 2 is what the community wants and I can help them, all stuff has been prepared and I've been dming and talking to people on the forum for 3 days without sleep, when I first joined the forums I made friends with majority of them except for newer members (sorry guys! If I missed you)
I'm just a helper and community voice before am a mod do note that but I am very discreet about it because of my social anxiety, unless do you feel people with this problem can't be mods cuz they have to be VOCAL posters? Some people in the community aren't vocal enough to post too, I want their opinions as complete feedback towards all issues too.

There is actually a really big crossover between people who enjoy otomes and BL. As weird as it sounds, most japanese BL content is marketed towards women and also mostly played by them. Additionally, many women don't feel comfortable playing straight 18+ games, which is one of the reason why BL games is sometimes proffered by them in those context. I guess because of the often unsavory portrayal of women in those mediums in general. So BL is an easier genre to navigate in those kinds of situations due to the personal disconnect and they fact that it's 2 attractive dudes in the setting (2 for 1 basically lmao). Basically the overlap between the 2 is big enough that it just makes sense to have them in one same setting. The suffix is enough if you are only looking for otome stuff, as you can simply filter out the BL.

As for manpower, I don't think they would've suggested it if they don't think themselves capable of it (although i did personally also vote for 3). There are many good and hardworking mods here that I believe can more than live up to the responsibility. Not to mention many members also help around, stuff is pretty clean and good around here.

I want to write this up for me in a personal information to all members:


I do not wish to show ALL my discussions I had with checkmate that I had for those continuous days since I was the one that made this idea to speak face to face with him regarding this game content and misc stuff seperation and no mod besides me was around and miraiki being just a member at that time supported me and everyone I spoke to was more vocal about this even though my approach is not posts but dms to go for it and as they wanted this seperation too,

dms are always open for me to anyone in the section to voice anything, doesn't have to be just for mod stuff or personal stuff and also If I approach in dms do note that won't bash you guys with a warning am just helping you or trying to befriend you

If anybody here does hate my direct approach to speak or befriend you guys, I don't mind stepping down as mod since miraiki exists am sure the moding business would be fine and even if she weren't there people will help I trust you guys a lot to keep it lively and tidy, I only wanted to help nothing more am sorry for being this way
