Questions are generally asked to elicit an answer to a conundrum. If the question is answered, then the question was productive.
If the question is not answered at all, it was nevertheless productive, in that it still reflects positive action by the questioner.
On the other hand, an answer may not be the correct one, or may not be what the questioner wanted to hear.
Nevertheless, both question and answer are productive in that they tend to generate dialog.
On the light side, if one is interested in meaningless questions and answers that may have no basis in reality, then this thread may be worth exploring. :)
