Greetings AS Admins , sorry since it is quite long ,I will directly say to the point

First of all problems. The Inside of the sub section

some of the section in there it is quite messy :stress:

1)One of them is The Hentai Games that need to be organized

Since They are in mixed state that you guys [Admins] needs to separate The Visual Novel [ which including the eroge ] from the 3D games.

So for example if a user want to post or upload Visual novel then they need to post it in the Category Visual novel

Same for eroge , as they containing *ahem* ecchi stuff so they fall into the category Eroge (additionally as for [Illusion] games were also considered as an eroge since it have a background story like a visual novel despite it game where involving 3D . so it falls under it too)

And as for 3D and RPG ero games . It meant that it Does not associated with visual novels and VisuaL novel eroge so they Fall under the category 3D & RPG eroge games (you can think other names for this section .

2) Secondly About The Deadlinks

In the past few years there are still many post which had still their post consisting of deadlinks which need to be fixed and They still haven't fixed it due unknown circumstances.

Then from my own suggestion is : instead of using links which makes you tired to keep uploading and fixing it which ends up not solving the problem, Then Use torrent links which is quite easy and all of us needed to seed rather than using links such in Hentai games,Doujin, Hentai Manga,Hentai OVA ,Anime and Music Section . well that is one of my suggestion which give a bit idea. :gotidea:

3)Thirdly is the Hentai OVA section , it needs to have 3 sub section which is 1. Raw( for non Subbed and Dubbed) 2.Subs section (for subbed Ova) 3.Dubbed (if there is a dub OVA).In Addition it also apply to Anime section for give them a 3 category subsection

4) Fourthly the Manga (Non hentai) category should have 2 category which is 1.Raw 2.Translated

5)Torrent section should have separate section in order not to be messy

1.Visual Novel
2.Eroge (Hentai games)
3.Doujinshi
4.Hentai Manga (with two category 1.Raw 2.Translated)
5.Hentai OVA ( with 3 addition category 1.Raw 2.Subbed 3.Dubbed)

I like also suggest to add in the torrent section
Anime ( with 3 addition 3 subcategory 1.Raw 2.Subbed 3.Dubbed)
Manga(Non hentai) ( with the category 1.Raw 2.Translated)

Well That all from my feedback and Suggestion

Thank you for Reading this thread and Good Luck

Hi there, thank you for your feedback and welcome to the support section. Now let's see if I can't address all your points sufficiently.

First of all, you're conflating two different realms of classification: "visual novel" and "3D games" are genres depicting gameplay elements. "Eroge" (and therefore "hentai game") is a genre depicting story elements. ("RPG" is supposedly a genre of story rather than gameplay; however, the ubiquity of games belonging to this archetype has saturated the term enough to sufficiently describe both story and gameplay.) Your typical school-life eroge, for example, is an eroge by genre of story and a visual novel by genre of gameplay.

Among the reasons we generalise "hentai games" and put them all within one subsection―whereas all non-hentai visual novels, RPGs and other such games belong outside it―is because it encompasses a wider field than "visual novel" and arguably makes it easier for users to find what they want by grouping all their nasties in one place. Splitting the subsections into one for visual novels and another for 3D games, among other things, would leave no place for other forms of hentai games, such as those Flash mini-games and other niche stuff you don't see in the mainstream. Unless you're suggesting we have another "miscellaneous hentai games" subsection for those... which would make redundant the entire splitting of "hentai games" into subcategories.

But more importantly, you seem to be confusing yourself. Your first suggestion is that we should separate visual novels from 3D games, and that eroge should belong to visual novels. It's worth mentioning that "eroge"―"erotic game"―refers to, well, erotic games and not just erotic visual novels, but let's assume you meant the latter. So, following your scheme, we'd now have two subsections: visual novels, wherein both hentai and non-hentai visual novels belong; and 3D games, presumably also for both hentai and non-hentai 3D games (yes, non-hentai 3D games do exist). But from there you went on to say that Illusion games are considered eroge―which is true, but undercuts your earlier implied assumption that "eroge" merely refers to hentai visual novels―while also having a visual novel-like "background story" despite having 3D elements... ergo, Illusion games should fall "under it too."

Under what, exactly? Which of your proposed subcategories are you referring to, now? I'm confused. Are you?

2) Secondly About The Deadlinks

In the past few years there are still many post which had still their post consisting of deadlinks which need to be fixed and They still haven't fixed it due unknown circumstances.

Then from my own suggestion is : instead of using links which makes you tired to keep uploading and fixing it which ends up not solving the problem, Then Use torrent links which is quite easy and all of us needed to seed rather than using links such in Hentai games,Doujin, Hentai Manga,Hentai OVA ,Anime and Music Section . well that is one of my suggestion which give a bit idea. :gotidea:
Whether torrent links are always preferable to DDL is debatable, as not everyone likes their meal to be served in the same way (not to mention that torrents can and do die too). Without getting too much into the pros and cons, however, it's up to each and every uploader how they'd like to share, whether by using torrents or DDL. You may appeal to the uploaders to start using torrents more in lieu of DDL, but we―staff―prefer to use a laissez-faire approach to what method(s) of distribution each uploader chooses to share their files.

A side note for music uploads, though: ASL, the music distribution group under our supervision, already makes its releases available via torrents. Nevertheless, that doesn't necessarily mean all the torrents will live forever.

3)Thirdly is the Hentai OVA section , it needs to have 3 sub section which is 1. Raw( for non Subbed and Dubbed) 2.Subs section (for subbed Ova)
What's sufficiently taken care of by thread prefixes doesn't require additional subsections.

3.Dubbed (if there is a dub OVA).
Since the demand (and supply) for this niche would likely be next to nothing―I mean, despite making the suggestion, you yourself aren't sure if such a thing exists―having an entire subsection dedicated to it would be superfluous. You can just use the English prefix then make it clear in your thread title and/or post that it's dubbed instead of subbed. Or both.

In Addition it also apply to Anime section for give them a 3 category subsection
Dubbed anime likely still come from fansub groups nonetheless, so that's redundant. As for raws, we'll see if the demand justifies the implementation. As it currently stands, it doesn't.

4) Fourthly the Manga (Non hentai) category should have 2 category which is 1.Raw 2.Translated
Are you also unfamiliar with the term "scanlation" and derivatives thereof?

Judging by how just a few sentences earlier you suggested that we should have more torrents in lieu of DDL, I take it you're well aware that the torrent section doesn't see many uploads from each niche. It gets a healthy dose of hentai goodies, but there's few to no uploads of other categories. There's a reason the torrent section has prefixes for the various categories represented by subsections under the Downloads & Requests section as a whole. Making the torrent section as comprehensively categorised as Downloads & Requests itself, with elaborate branches and subsections, is (at least with the current situation) a lost cause that would only give us a pile of empty, deserted subcategories.

Seems to me that his concern is in regard of differentiating, is all Raw Manga non-hentai (I know there is a Hentai Manga subsection but there is none Raw Hentai Manga, for example)? Is all Light Novels Hentai? So he wants to differentiate, including what is translated and whatnot.

I take it all of you who raised this concern have never checked the subsections in question? The Hentai Manga section, just like Hentai Doujinshi, has language prefixes. This means that both translated and untranslated (i.e. raw) hentai manga belong to the section. This leaves the Raw Manga section itself dedicated to non-hentai raw manga. That's why it has a different set of prefixes. As for light novels, we may split the section into hentai and non-hentai in the future if there's enough content for both niches, but as you can see uploaders who are already uploading hentai light novels simply make do with adding "ADULT" or words to that effect to their thread titles.

TBH the all ''Manga & Doujinshi'' has so many sub sections that gets confusing, what confuses the most is the term Scanlated that people contrary to what you believe are not so familiar with, for Light Novels a prefix for hentai should do the job fine.

That is all.
thx

one more thing I've received an email saying 'You have been quoted at Anime-Sharing' on my settings I have it set to receive through my control panel only, how I deactivate this behavior so I do not receive further emails of quoting?

I appreciate your honesty, but maybe it's just you.

The light novel section provides language prefixes (Japanese, English, Chinese, other). A prefix for "hentai" would change the prefix categorisation from languages to adult content or lack thereof (hentai and non-hentai). Between this and the other thread, I'm not going to explain again why prefixes aren't as malleable as people would like them to be.

That's specified by your user tagging settings. Go to "Settings" under "User Tagging" in your user control panel: http://www.anime-sharing.com/forum/usertag.php?do=profile&action=options

No, it's not just me.
Thx for the tip, never though that 'User Tagging' was for that so never bother with it.

I'm just saying that I happen to know some friends that are with me on this, don't give me wrong I'm sure your stats are meaningful but that must be full of experts on the matter, when it comes to new arrivals to the scene it can get quite confusing.
