Textbox issues with Rejet Games [Solved]

I hope I'm posting in the right place, I've searched all over and can't seem to find any information on this issue that I'm having. I'm beginning to wonder if it's just my computer

I have a Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10. I also have several games by Rejet: Dot Kareshi, Ken ga Kimi, and Bad Medicine: Infectious Teachers, and I have the same two problems with all of them.



All of them are very tiny unless I play full-screen,



All of the text is so spaced-out that it doesn't even fit inside the text boxes. Obviously, this is the more important issue, since this means that during game-play I can't read all the dialogue or narration.

I'm not really sure where to start with this issue. Of course, I've already changed my system locale to Japanese. I can't imagine what could be causing these issues and I'm really at a loss for what to do next.

I guess it's worth noting again that these issues are unique to my Rejet games.

If anyone has any insights they could share on this issue, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your time!

My screen resolution is 2736 x 1824. Do you think that could be the cause?

That's alright :)

I suspect so. I have mine on 1366 x 768 and it runs Rejet games fine, so try lowering your resolution and see if that helps ^^

Okay, I just tried it and while it didn't work on these games, it actually fixed the problems I was having with a different pair of games: Yajyuu and Ozmafia!! :D I'm really happy you suggested that, thank you! Hopefully I'll somehow find a fix for these games too :)

I'm glad it at least fixed something One other thing I can think of that might be causing this issue is that your Display Settings is over 100%. If not, however, I'm not quite sure sorry :( I hope you can solve the problem soon though! :)


EDIT: I'm gonna trying flinging some ideas out here. Could you right click on the Rejet game and click on properties? Then select the Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution? Maybe 1366 x 768 is still too large.

Right click on anywhere on your desktop and you should see Display Settings. Once you've clicked on it, a window will pop up and it should show Change the size of text, apps and other items: ___%.

By the way, I added another suggestion in my previous post, which basically just suggested lowering the resolution even more as 1366 x 768 may still be too big. :)

You were right, my display settings were at 200%. I changed it to 100% and now everything is really tiny :P haha but the words are inside of the textboxes and fullscreen works perfectly well anyway :) I'm glad it's so easy to adjust these settings. I can just put it at 100% when I want to play and set it back to 200% when I'm done.

My system locale is in Japanese, I double-checked :D

Luckily, with help from @Velenora I was able to find a solution to all of the issues I was having! Now I'm just trying to figure out how to close the thread.
