Ah, yes, the sad truth of the reality is that a lot of places prefer experience over one's grades. Reminds me of this one post I read on an a broadband website. A graduate who had received top marks in uni was still looking for a job, whereas his friend, who only scrapped by with passes, managed to land herself a great job because she had experience in the area they both studied for. Talking about this makes me think that perhaps I should volunteer for Lifeline support services ^^"

I usually just order online from Best Buy, as you said their games are limited in-store, but online is much better.

I know you work from home, but with the new position will you still be able to work from home? My brother that works for FEMA works in a Cubicle and he hates it, he works from home on Wednesdays, but is trying to get more days that he can work from home.

BTW, did you download Pokemon GO? Surprisingly it's quite fun, use it on my walks to find Pokemon around the neighborhood. Funny how many people I see playing it here, from small kids to teens to married couples all out trying to catch them all lol. Fun way to get exercise, and meet new people at Pokestops too.

Indeed. There's also the fact whatever you've learnt may not matter much. For example, Japanese companies here would rather hire people who've stayed for an extended time in Japan than fresh graduates with excellent grades in Japanese studies. The rationale is that someone who's been in Japan knows better how to deal with the people and has firsthand experience with their culture, lifestyle and language use (rather than textbook use).

Studying and graduating with good marks + experience is hard enough, but having all that effort go down the drain - for some - when it comes to looking for a job is really unfair. If only everyone was able to secure a nice job upon graduating. Unfortunately life doesn't work like that ;-;
