So, what kind of game can you play and what kind don't work ?
what kind of error message do you get ?
I mean, without informations, there not much we can do to offer specific help.
Generic help would be
1) make sure your laptop got the minimum required configuration.
2) if you're playing rpg maker game, make sur you got the required RTP installed (if not, you can find link for them on the dlsite faq page).
3) Many Japanese game (other than rpg maker / unity / flash) use Japanese unicode. You'll need to either set your computer local setting to Japanese or use emulating tool. Either way, first step is to have the Asian language pack (well, Japanese language, but it's in the Asian pack) installed.
Once it's done, you need to at least switch your unicode setting (in regional configuration tab) to Japanese. Or you can try using emulating tool (I recommend Local Emulator -browse it - for it's efficiency and ease of use). Using LE only require to have the right language pack installed as well as LE installed. Then right click on the game exe, select LE => run using Japanese local setting.
And for reason I don't understand, some game don't like being stuffed into long path name (forget C:\my game\personal\private\reallyprivate\nopeeking\realymeanprivate\...), so if one don't work, try installing it directly to c:\gamename\ (if possible without Japanese in the path folder name) just to check.
Of course, some game requires more specific configuration or other tool (like mounting a disk ISO for exemple).
You'll have to provide concrete exemple of game & error for more detailed help.
