My n00b drawings

If its only for a hobby, maybe you should first get used to draw with the pencil and your hand. I think its easier that way. The only thing you need is; trust on your hand and on what you are doing becuase if not you will end up drawing that insecure lines all your life. Maybe a tablet will delete that insecure lines, or not, i dont really know cause i like the old school technique, but you have the knowledge, you only need practice.
If you are like me and tend to erase many times cause you are perfectionist what you can do is: the final work do it in ink and then trace it so its clean. Here you have and example:

(sorry, but i wasn't able to upload it)

Moreover, if you have problems with the eyes or something like that try to draw only faces, so you can concentrate on what you are doing wrong (its not an observation of your drawings, its a general idea....try first one step at a time, and then the whole drawing.

the most fatal one is the left arm, taichou...
seems that her arm is growing on her back

but the other error is trivial. good job, taichou!

本当に?影付けでわざとそう見えるようにしたんだけど・・・・・手を裏に回すと肩も自然に後ろに動くから
やり方が悪かったかなぁ (´Д`)

@firecroll
I used to do ink tracing but I tend to find adjustments to be made even after i do the "final" work, and fixing ink lines in Photoshop makes outline look horrible. So I just leave it at rough stage and do digital tracing while making adjustments.

And I use a tablet at work so my lines will probably get better if I do personally get one. Granted, I haven't used a pencil for years before a couple of weeks ago when I started drawing so I'm going to need to practice with it as well.

Thanks for comments.

Been busy with work so I haven't had much time to work on this one (4 days...)
But here's the latest

Tried adding some highlights on skin and reduced hairlines used.
I know there's something wrong with it, but I can't pinpoint exactly what :/

Cool, better than my sister's drawings :P

Finally done after 1 and half week -.-
My first non-original character...
Very, very, bad choice for a first shot.

Yea I almost drew the whole thing again while refining lines...

Nice... I like that(on top) one best! You're getting better through time. Don't stop! Keep it up :)

You'll soon be ready to start a manga serie with your skills. ;)

I've stopped updating this topic, you can refer to the link in my sig to see my latest drawings :P
ah ok i'll check that out! I was referring not to stop practicing :desire: dun stop, okayyy?

Wow.. getting so much better so fast. Share your skills with me, I'll let you see my paperclip collection @_@

Your latest pic, that is one amazingly advanced gravity defying piece of meat heh.The hand itself is beautiful, think it's simply a matter of the item in question sticking out too much. The leg positioning also seems a bit awkward, altho whether that's because of perspective and foreshortening issues or whatnot I can't really say. I also won't say anything about the extreme awkwardness that filled me when I was foolish enough to examine certain details closer than I really should have and just pretend that everyone has a different idea of how clothes physics works. But yeah, keep it up! Complacency is the enemy of progress, and all that jazz.

I don't know what you are talking about...why is your mind always so hard to read?

As for the leg positioning, yea I agree it's kinda awkward. Originally I was going to draw the background (and floor thus legs looking less awkward) but then I'd have had to draw another character given the proposed situation of the drawing and I was burnt out from drawing the attractive gravity defying meat.

Ohh, you updated!

............goddamit, how are you getting so much better so fast

Just one thing, I think the hips somehow seem to contract then fill out again, which kinda lengthens the torso. Also the hair seems rather blob-y at places, and flat in others. Other than that though, I think your colouring now surpasses mine.. orz

I draw everyday, I just don't bother to color most of them.
Also, drawing H helps, which should be easy for you since it's in your forte :P

But that's kinda how female bodies curve...contract -> expand :o_O:

Butbut, it doesn't look quite right. It kinda bothers me for some reason, aesthetics =/= realism, and all that

Hahaha. Oh you. What are you talking about, silly. Guess I'll forgive you this once, and gently remind you that I'm a good person.

Which reminds me of a point: you're always going on about how much you prefer big.. big.. chests etc, yet here you are espousing some of the very paragons of DFC themselves. I sense someone isn't being true to their true nature >_> *cough* it's nothing to be ashamed of..

I like boobs but they don't decide my love for a character. If those characters don't have big boobs, then I love them for something else. As a matter of fact my next drawing is a flat chest loli.

Save 1000$ for the big shot.

I saved 1,000,000,000,000 for my big shot :bepraised: inb4 smacked

Anyways, orisa i noticed the differences in style between the ones you posted here and the ones on your pixiv. Looking at the dates it seems you've improved quickly

...If not enough, go watch some more porn... :3

I laughed hard. I was like "dafuq is that advice?"

Anyway, you're not exactly a n00b. I can even only draw stickmen xD jk. I can draw but the fingers are stupid. Maybe you should just draw more as experience is the best teacher. (Nah, I just couldn't give some real advice xD)

I've been drawing everyday but they aren't exactly ones that I can "publicly" show if you know what I mean.
Naturally when drawing those kind they get "personalized" way too much for purpose of being viewed by third parties.

But they make really good practice (・∀・)

Can't "publicly" show..?.. there's no such thing as that! We're all still learning, so no matter what you think of it we should all help each other grow. Most of my pics are also terrible and I rarely want to post them, but the C&C I get are invaluable for improving. There's no need to be embarrassed >:D
