During the last few eroge release periods, we noticed server load spiking. As we use a complex system with a good number of extensions, it took us a while to track down the root cause:
It seems the high amount of on-the-fly processing required to render the forum put a heavy load on the CPU. Since the CPU was no longer able to cope with everythings that's being thrown at it, we have decided to implement additional caching to ease its burden. This means faster browsing for our visitors and no more more slow phases during eroge release periods.
If anyone notices further slow-downs or unexpected forum behavior, please post it in the Support Section, so we can work out any possible kinks the change may have brought with it.
