(Oh, you deleted your first post. I thought you wanted to write manga, but the topic might have changed then.)
I have 3 friendly advices for those who plan to write original manga.
Firstly, if you haven't read バクマン(Bakuman,
http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Bakuman/), you should read it. It's a story of young boys who want to be manga artists. It briefly depicts what the Japanese manga industry is like, and how hard it is to be successful. In chapter 1, a main character points out a fact that only one out of one hundred thousand people who want to be manga artists can make a living from writing manga for whole life.
Secondly, take a look at doujin (indie) manga. I was told by people on this forum that manga availability is very limited outside Japan, especially translated ones. Only best-selling mangas are widely distributed outside Japan, and they are the tip of an iceberg. The major part of manga industry surely consists of non top-sellers and doujin mangas. Even if the most popular mangas may look ideal for you, non top-seller mangas can be more familiar textbook for starters and should tell you more about the whole picture and the overall trend. It will show you how independent artists write, print, publish, distribute, and respond to readers.
Lastly, consider publishing as web comic. After you write a manga, you will need feedback, but you can't increase the number of readers easily. It must be difficult for new faces to earn reputation unless they win a manga award. So, publish your work on a website, and people will read it and give responses. Let's take an example of "ヒト喰イ"(Hitokui,
http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Hito-Kui). Hitokui started as a webcomic in 2010, and soon became popular. In 2012, 小学館(Shougakukan), one of the biggest Japanese manga publishers, published a spin-off of Hitokui in serial form, and then started another spin-off in 2014. The point is; the author successfully built both reputation and connection, therefore he will probably be able to start a brand-new series with publisher's support next time.
I wish you the best of luck for success. (◕ฺ‿◕ฺ✿ฺ)
