I think it's smooth enough. In fact, people may not notice at all if you didn't point it out to them that there was originally supposed to be a wooden stick in her hand and that you had to redraw parts of her hand that were obstructed by the stick. Also, if you use that render for a signature or something, that part may not even be part of the resulting image at all.
Still, if I had to nitpick, it'd be that her index finger (that's the finger next to your thumb) looks a bit anatomically weird. It's like that finger twitches in an angle it's not supposed to and would likely break the bone if it happened in reality. But it's not very visible, really. Also, your use of shading is awesome, so hopefully that'll distract anyone's attention from anything bad the redrawn part may otherwise have. :P
