  • Quite a bit actually. "He keeps his beard cut in three prongs, all dyed blue. His eyes are blue and his curly hair is dyed blue. His mustachios are painted gold and he has a large, curving nose. He is lithe, smooth skinned, has a golden tooth and dresses in loud colors and finery. He wears a Dothraki arakh on his left hip and a Myrish stiletto on his right hip. Their hilts are a matched pair of naked women made in gold" It was also the storm crows not the second sons in the books. I've heard that Strong Belwas didn't make it into the show which is damn shame. The changes are quite numerous this season so I hear.
The way it works in my country is that the industry is practically an oligopoly formed by three major ISPs, but there's a new emerging ISP as of late (which unfortunately is facing trouble getting infrastructure set up). The government actually has a regulatory body set up such that if it senses any fishy business brewing it steps in and puts a stop to it. I think I can attribute keeping the industry safe to the government, and they're not particularly crazy over money either - at the very least they do what they should do. However, considering the fact that my country is smaller than the state you live in, I can expect how it would be extremely difficult for the U.S. to effectively address the problem. I guess all we can do is to hope that someone persuasive enough pops up within the 120 day period and fixes things.
haha nah not home sick at all. Only 2.5 weeks in total after all. :P
Going to Vegas now today, for another several hours of driving OTL
At least Vegas should be more interesting... no beaches that I don't like :runhappy:

Of course... going to Vegas... when everyone finally decides to wake up. My Dad's plan was to leave by now, and I laughed when he suggested people would wake up. :P
Very nice, but a bit too much driving the last few days. Tagging along to a few places more for "the sake of the family" than because I actually will enjoy going. :P
Also learning some programming in my free time and watching a bit of Mushi-shi. Very enjoyable both :D
Every little thing can bring about humongous consequences - that's just how today's world is wired. I do agree with what the TED article I shared with the LPW regarding the matter suggested, if you happened to have read it. That is, the best way to alleviate the problem is either by introducing more - and actual - competition into the industry, or by introducing a (governmental) regulatory body. With things as they are (at least with what I understand of things), introducing new competition is really the better option; a governmental regulatory body might not be the best of ideas at this point in time.

Also, I would say it complicates things with the U.S. being a pretty large country with all its many states, so circumstances can really differ. But the internet should be regarded by its providers and the government and any other authority less as a premium, as something extra and nice-to-have, and more as something that should be had, much like clean water and electricity supply, especially so in this day and age.
While whatever happens to the U.S.'s internet might have little to no impact on me at all, what is unfolding is an interesting demonstration of differing ideals clashing because of new technologies. Like you said, there are people that can live just as well without (good) internet, but there are those who depend heavily on the internet (and not in a bad, excessive way) as well. While realistically I do not think a solution that satisfies all parties can be found, it is still interesting to observe what will prevail over what and how everything works out in the future. Although, that may seem insensitive of me to think that.
Well, this is really hard news, but so long in limit stays - Well, that this action not other services grabs, then is it OK... Let we still this event follow, then know we more, okay?
Unfortunately, no. As a result I have been left out of the Pokémon conversations in the LPW as of late but that's entirely okay. Lol.
Don't worry about it, I can get a little heated about things so corrupt as what's going on here. Comcast is downright dastardly.
Same old story. Without KD and Westbrook, OMG won't be able to do anything. =\

WCF game 1 @Spurs on Monday
Haha, congrats man! If that's the case then you deserve it ^^
Complete sets is always nice. How long will it take for Rise to arrive? Estimate?
    D
It takes 9180 steps to hatch Eevee, or 4845 if you have a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in your party. Catch a Magmar in front of Fuego Ironworks.
