I don't know if it was recent or on the first week of this month, but I noticed several contents' store page shared here have been purged off from DLSite, and at the same time, the two credit cards are available as an option to buy stuff directly. Does that mean DLSite have lost the battle?

According to a reddit post the content has not been deleted, what happens is that now products with the "loli" or "mesugaki" tag are not allowed outside japan.
I guess VPNs can solve that anyways.

It's pretty recent, just a few days back, not even a week, I was browsing some product with za~ko (mesugaki) tag.
Tested it just now it's filtered.
Lolis are still somehow there (?)
I use the japan UI tho so maybe it has something to do with it, or maybe not.

man this is so sad, why do credit card companies get to have this much power on what a person is allowed to purchase with their own money?

you can still access that content with a japanese vpn.
the thing is there are works that had being removed despise not having loli content to it while other products that re clearly loli are still up.
So i have no idae whats the criteria for this shit.

Are there any good free VPNs that don't have any viruses in them?
Proton VPN is free, it has Japan in the free tier, however last time I heard someone used it on Windows it seems the Windows version does not allow one to select where to connect, the Linux version has a simpler UI and it seems they forgot to remove the feature to connect to japan, so in proton vpn and in Linux it works, idk if it has that feature on Windows

i tried. the first day it allowed me to connect to japanese server. but on the second day, i kept getting a message that choosing server by countries is a paid feature. go fuck themselves.
as for free vpn. um using "urban vpn proxy" browser extension. it works but sometines the connection is so slow that is unusable.

For me it still works for these three countries, I use the flatpak version in Arch tho

I hear very recently they even targeted the "student" tag. this might be even worse then the loli tag for games and media effected.

Seems not just the West but outside of Japan as a whole, the school/uniform tag thing that is. The games that are missing that I'm aware of on my end makes perfect sense that this is the case.

still doesnt make full sense.
one game that was removed its called eldritch the third game of a developer called 1P. the game has no schools, uniforms, lolis, shotas, the game is about mosnter girls but not the cute kind and more the cursed kind. other games he made was; "decadence" and "carcass", you can have an idea of the games content with those.

tbh I don't think the credit card companies care about the tags, they just want to straight up kill all anime content and I'm sure they won't stop until there are no traces of anime left.
That's how it seems to my eyes.
