Sorry for resurrecting this thread--so, the only way I've ever gotten these to run is to use NTLEAS + changing your unicode setting. Locale-Emulator runs the game, but the text is gibberish.
Has anyone had more luck? Unicode settings still work under Windows 10 but, annoyingly, they do change other things in the OS that are mildly inconvenient afterwards. Apparently an old version of Locale-Emulator could be adjusted to run the game AND display the text properly, but that functionality was lost a year ago.
