there goes minori's game again, plot, BGM, character design and background design nothing to complain about, but the main heroine formula: always have very long hair, voice by Kusuhara Yui and sometimes there is a part of their personality kinda resemble each other make me care more about her plot than the character herself

Totally unbiased opinion about the newest game of my favorite brand:

 

This VN has got potential. It borrows from multiple elements from sci-fi. As always, minori is keen in using the repertoire of tropes and themes and play around with them.  In this game, the topic is the interaction between man and machine. The premise is simple. In a world where the field of robotics has advanced quite a bit, Prodigy childhood friend comes back to meet the protagonist after time has passed to propose him to participate in a “social experiment” if you might say. The experiment: Her latest creation in android technology, Torino(Notice the niponization of the word Turing) will live with him and his mother. She will study the interactions between them and use that info to fine tune Torino. But there is catch in all this to both add tension in the story and interest. Torino was created in image of the dead younger sister of the protagonist and has been implanted with mannerisms and known memories of her. The main conflict of the story lies in the moral grey area in the interactions between Torino and the protagonist.

 

This game tries to answer deep questions such as: What is consciousness? What is being “alive”? What are the limits of human nature? But most importantly: Will man fuck a robot version of its dead sister? This game will make you question reality as you watch how this guy just can’t help porking a doll of her very tragically drowned sibling. No stone will be left unturned in this spectacle of cybernetic debauchery. There is just something beautifully fucked up in watching this. The moral of the story here is simple. Trauma caused by the dead of a family member can be easily solved if you had a robot made in image of that member for you to pork. Psychiatrists be damned! Who knew it was that simple!

 

Now the 2 following sections will have spoilers from the demo.  Please skip if you want an untarnished experience.

 

 

Spoiler: What I think of the protag:

I fucking hate him. I loathe his guts. He causes me revulsion. This guy to me is the avatar of triviality. That’s the best way to represent him. He is a petty fuck. He is willfully ignorant and naïve to the point that it makes your eyes roll harder than the Aztec Sun Stone.

 

Not only is he petty but also selfish. The way he pursues his relationship with Shirone is pathetic and pitiful with no regard toward anybody else. I feel so bad for his mom. In one moment of the game she breaks down emotionally. And with good reason. This game does not shy away from the fact that it is extremely fucked up to give a robot to a parent made in image of her dead child. I really like this story but I firmly believe he is the weak link. I don’t root for him. In fact, the best moments of the demo were the ones that made me root against him and yell at my screen “OF COURSE THAT FUCKING HAPPENED. WHAT ELSE DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN YOU CUNT!” . He has tunnel vision. He fails to see the bigger picture and that main forces of the story at play. I love the fact that he and Shirone think they are ahead of the game by lying about their relationship to Sara (my favorite character of fucking course). Straight to her face. Like, REALLY DUDE? You are going to hide that fact from her FUCKING CREATOR who very obviously has a crush on you? This is what basically happens:

 

-“So Eatdapoopoo.” (I refuse to call him by name). “Is there anything you would like to tell me?”

 

-“What makes you say that?”

 

-“Well, you are acting extremely weird around my robot. Flirting with her, holding her hand all the time and being too touchy with her. A bystander might even say acting loverlike”

 

-“That’s how siblings act between each other.  You would know if you had a sister” (Coming from the guy with a dead sister treating a robot as such is particularly rich).

 

-“Well the other day I was doing some maintenance on Shirone and I found some anomalies on her emotional stability. She is acting distrustful of me; she is being very emotional unbalanced and overall being harder to control. Quite outside her programming.”

 

- “Why are you saying all of this to me? What gives?”

 

-“And the other day I was doing some checkups on Shirone’s memory bank and I…found some stuff…”

 

-“(Oh shit. Are you saying that the creator of a robot has access to its memory and data?! What is this sorcery?!)

 

-“Eatdapoopoo…. Are you fucking my robot?

 

-….

 

My god, I really hope minori pulls a Nagi no Asukara on this bitch. Just like Hikari started as an insufferable shit and became awesome, I really hope the same happens to this fucker.

 

Spoiler: Thoughts of where the game is going:

Have you guys seen the movie Ex Machina? Because the guys at minori have. The setting of this game reminds me so much of it and the parallels between both of them are perturbing. Robot genius brings guy to a setting where he interacts with a hot android to and sees if this android can pass the Turing test.  Android makes the guy question everything and both rebel against their creator. I was starting to think that Shirone was going to kill Sara there. Glad that changed in the minoriverse. Yes. The existence of Monami-sensei confirms that there is a shared universe in recent games. 

 

With that setting in mind, we must also question the Torino project. What is this project? Why Shirone looks and feels so real? Why can Torino replicate the intricacies of the traumas of Shirone? How did Sara obtained flawless memories of the dead Shirone to implant in Torino? Hopefully the game will move in this direction and delve deeper in this mystery and with that it brings us to my theory of the biggest twist in the game. A spoiler in a Spoiler. Beware, read with caution. Here it comes:  I have the slight suspicion that the story of Shun Nanase finished at the end of the demo.

 

And finally…I’ll admit for a moment I was getting scared. Seeing that Shirone was in all the marketing and shit for Trinoline. But then my heart, the power of love and common sense gave the way. Never forget the golden rule of minori! Make a door sign out of this people! If Yui Kusuhara voices someone in a minori game post-Supipara, your ass better believe she will always voice the main. Sara True Ending. WE LIT FAM!

 

And those are my thoughts. I really liked the demo. It hooked me with the story and it really got me interested in where it was going next. Here’s one to greatness hopefully!

it kinda sad since i still like their old games styte, ex: kinetic type eden*, storyteller style in ef and the episode type supipara (don't know if they will ever make it to ep 2), you don't just only check the CV in the official site and point out 'ah, this girl is the main, huh' . you can check the previous games post for more instruction, basic is you need mount the disc, run the crack, select setup.exe and install game

- After installation, on the last screen of the installer will be a check box that will ask you if you want to run the game after installing. Uncheck this box, then finish the installer.
- Now, copy mai.dll into the game directory over the existing mai.dll and run the game.

Do not run the game before mai.dll has been copied over, see that the game isn't working, then copy mai.dll over. You will have to reinstall the game (possibly removing registry entries) if you do that.

ahora veras que el juego no entra salen letras japoneces y un fondo rojo
desintala el juego luego vas donde se instalo el juego en la carpeta del juego veras que hay 2 archivos copia el que dice mai.dll ahora borra todo la carpeta del juego (si no la borras no se podra instalar el juego de nuevo) ahora vuelve a instalar el juego finalizada la instalacion vuelve a entran donde la carpeta donde esta el juego en ahi pon el archivo que copiaste (osea el mai.dll) y listo arranca el juego
