In the midst of confusion while everyone was whispering to each other and discussing/thinking what they should do, Azuriel came out to Chiru and asked: "What do you mean Fear is underground?" to which she replied "Fear said there might be a corpse in underground when we were there and went to investigate and then... that announcement came, so..." and then it hit you that the one who died wasn't Fear but the 1 other person that was nowhere to be seen... And then Fear goes in into the room.
