Summary
Midorishita Yumina is an ordinary high school student, except that she has very poor grades. Akashima Ayumu is a new transfer student. The only reason for his transfer was because his father said to him that the girl named "Midorishita Yumina" is destined to save the universe and it's his job to protect her. Not only does Ayumu not believe his dad, but he also doesn't get along with Yumina. As a result of a "minor" conflict between them, Yumina fails an important exam and has to repeat the current grade for another year. Of course that was not good news for either of them and just as they were about to lose hope, they are offered a chance to participate in the Seitokai tournament. Apparently, the winner becomes the next student body president, and the president can make any rule he or she wants, for the good of the students... Like not repeating grades...
