hey I appreciate all your help and everybody else here. I still can't get the game running after the installing the game though. It still asks for serial code, and I'm no computer geek, so I can only do what I was told. I did all the patches that was said, and run excel.exe, but serial code..

anybody have any idea how to get through? what am I missing here? (by the way I'm using window 7.)

Hmmm no luck ...

I ran setup from desktop after patching it .... went on smoothly. Ran then 1.2 update no problem. Ran the patch for 1.2 from Hyakki. but after that im stuck with error message when i tried using the no DVD from Girlcelly.

ohhh okay I get it, so I have to run the no-acti alsign patch while the serial code window is on, aright!
now it works and I can finally enjoy the monster madness fun! thanks a bunch to you all.

Uhh where are you guys getting the 1.2 patch? I have the patch-for-the-patch...

Although I cannot run the game, even using the methods described here... unless I am somehow doing them wrong.

I'm on a computer running Windows 7 home edition (64 bit) if it matters.

I did manage to get the game installed, I just can't seem to actually get it to start up (or find the 1.2 patch itself)....

I'm having a issue different from the others, I followed hyakki's directions and got the game to install fine but when I try to run Execle.exe nothing comes up while execle.exe and lder.exe appear in my processes. I then get a computer lockup that prevents me from opening or closing any programs or windows although anything that's currently open runs fine. The problem seems to be from lder.exe which activates when running Execle.exe, I'm assuming that's the program that asks me for the serial key?


I'd appreciate it if anyone has a possible solution to this problem.

Edit your global variables, add DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES on both and set the value to 1

Open the device manager and show hidden devices: on nonPNP drivers locate the drivers of the protections (starforce, saferom, other crap) and set to disable/manual or remove them; check all the other sections, locate missing hardware that you'll never reconnect and remove it, reboot and try again.

Removing nonPNP drivers from a protections may prevent same games to run, usually the games that use that protection just reinstall it when started but if they're presents and disabled the game will fail surely, also keep away from boot start mode, it's ABSOLUTELY required ONLY from drivers that must be loaded in memory before booting the windows kernel;
Do not remove nonPNP devices you don't know because same are required to boot your pc, this is a dangerous section but when your install/remove a lot of software after a while it became a mess.

I'm also having problems with AlphaActivation, although mine didn't seem to return any error. It just opens a new popup with a pretty long code, some kanji and ending with (ref=3). That's it, nothing else happens. I've tried to put the code on the serial fields, but none of it works. Any ideas?

hmm, now I can't remember the whole step myself at the moment, so I'll wrtie what I know on top of my head right now.
I'll go through all the steps I can think of, just for the sake of, well, accuracy (plus this jogs my memory and hope I'll remember that moment of the installation).

1. Install the game like any other visual novel games that are in virtual disc form.
This is the usual way of installing visual novel games that are normally coming in iso, mdf, mds or some other forms I cannot think of that are in visual disc. Get a program that runs the disc like "Daemon Tools", get the virtual disc into virtual driver you've installed, and install the game normally.

2. Gotta look for "Asign" folder from your HDD, and extract the patch file there and run it.
Depending on the version of your windows, it's in either "Document and settings" folder for XP I think, or "ProgramData" for vista and 7. Put the patch AlphaSignUp tool .exe file there and run it. I'll give something like .OLD and other file with same funky name.

3. With all that said, when that thing pops out, run the patch.
Now this, I actually can't remember and since I don't have the access to other computer I have my game installed, this is all I remember so I might be wrong.

This is as far as I can remember. I'll come back to this when I get to the computer that I have the game installed. These are all basic things for all the Alsign tool patch, so these are pretty common method of patching the game.

I'll come back to this later again.. til then..

since hf is pretty much dead, I'll u/l my no region fix here.
so same as the other patches ,

1. copy setup.exe off dvd, run the setup.exe patch (in rar file) - install the game.
2. run update 1.2 to update the game.
3. copy and run the other patch (in the rar) to the game install dir,
start excel.exe.

I have never installed something like this nor have i ever done it in my life! I have everything that says there... I just dnt know how to follow the instructions on top.
Btw ive been trying to install this game the whole day... and I still havent been able to figure it out..

let me list all the things I've done to run the game.

1. region & language setting set to Japanese. That's format and location. the time doesn't seem to effect this game although I've seen few other games effecting it.

2. try installing the game when the setting is on Japanese. This gets the texts and stuff gets straightened. This might effect too much but I'm just counting this one in as well, cuz sometimes few Kanji or Japanese text seems to go off track when setting is in English.

Font setting seems to be the language issue. so try this, and hope for the best.
I have yet to see that font error so far since my windows was always in Japanese settings. perhaps installing different language pack for windows might help. try that. and again, hope for the best.

Ok i changed it back to Japan settings and it worked but now i got another error. Its in japanese soo i cant understand smack.. But only word i understood was "Disc".. So i take it has to do with DiscChk1 I try to mount it with Virtual clone drive but says "Cant Open VCD!" I also try it with some of the other files in there but tells me the same thing.. FACEPALM... Anyway you can teamviewer me? I think this is gunna take longer if we keep at it like this. Cause im the type of person that has to see it to understand it.. Sorry..

k, now that I am on the computer with the game installed, I'll try to run through all the things I have.

actually before this, with the "disc" thing, I'm gonna assume you've ran execle2.exe and MPE.EXE file. Those two exe files won't run the game, but they'll need to be patched.

[ISO+MDS], [Alsignup tool], [Update1.2.exe], [MPE.exe Noregion-update1.2 + Setup.exe-noregion]

4 rar files in total, check and see if you happen to miss anything after extracting all the rar files.

1. load virtual disc and without running the setup from the disc, copy to your hdd and run.
I just copied the whole files out of disc to do this. It worked though.

2. Run both no-region patch files in the folder the game is installed.
I forgot this step before. extract the files to the game folder and run those two.

3. Run execle.exe file. while having the key input window up, patch Alsignup tools.
like I said above, no execle2.exe, or MPE.exe. Those two won't run the game even after all the patch.
you'll see this window that looks like CD-key input screen. without closing the window by hitting cancel or x, search for ASign folder from ProgramData folder from your OS-installed drive, then extract the Alsignup tool file and run.

4. Close the CD-key window after done patching, and run execle.exe again and see if the game runs.
no explanation here. you can close the window now and re-run execle.exe. if you see a window with Delta logo, then voila. If you're still seeing the CD-Key, try to patch alsign again. Patch will produce old and (funkyname).sig file, and hope for the best.

I think that's all I can think of at the moment, and I was thinking of snapping some screenshots, but I didn't want to uninstall my game to try it again, cuz it was a bit of hustle to go through again so,,

Ok i got all the files needed but idk how to do step one i need detailed info about that... Damn screenshots would be the bomb here... I probobly extracted some extra stuff.. Cause you mention there that.. you had not extracted the MPE yes which i did that. Ok so heres my main problem atm idk how to mount the files into the drive eather do i know how to un-mount it!
Also what does Error: Cant open vcd! means? Tells me that when i try to mount somethign into the clonedrive.

Thanks to Hyakki's instructions, I got it working. Pain in the ass though. I'm not particularly sure why Delta feels its games in particular warrant so much security and censorship. Their stuff runs the gamut from 'hit or miss' to subpar. So far, the only visual novel from them I've truly felt was worth keeping was Sarasare Tzuma--which was even more difficult to get working.

I'm actually finding some value in this game even though the interface is laggy and annoying, and the censoring is just way to extensive. But it requires a system path to work; no way in hell am I going to bother with this laundry list again just to put up with its flawed presentation.

Is there a way that I can modify the game so that I can make it start up from anywhere on the system?
